about

DTHPDL (Deathpodal) is the solo project of singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and soundtrack artist Alastair J. Chivers.

His new EP, The Future, is out April 2016 on cassette tape through Song, by Toad Records. The release is an exploration of weird pop melodies, post punk drones and belief, featuring friends D. McDonald, Humdrum Jetset and Ross Taylor.

DTHPDL first gained acclaim with the release of his mini album Exu__Wow in 2009. Now together with a full band, they have just recently completed a tour of Scotland, played several showcases for Song by Toad and Alastair took part in the Hidden Door arts festival, sound tracking the In The Heart of The Hive installation, a collaboration with Adventures In Light, Pyrus and Callum Easter.

In the lead up to the release, a video of the title track will be unveiled and an EP party will take place on 22 April 2016 at The Leith Depot, Edinburgh, featuring support from Miracle Strip and Lush Purr.

Previous bands DTHPDL have supported include Team Ghost (ex-M83), NME favourites YAK, Shield Your Eyes, Islet, Paws and RM Hubbard.
